PAST to FUTURE is an innovative and interdisciplinary program that offers a comprehensive perspective and diverse specialization in the field of heritage and the sustainable development of rural communities.
This course will combine online and on-site presentations at the University “Stefan cel Mare” of Suceava, with field research in Cacica, a village in the Bukovina area, known for its rich natural and cultural heritage, characterized by its multi-ethnic population, a variety of natural resources and a rich potential for the development of sustainable tourism.
The main objective of the program is to familiarize students with fieldwork methods, documentation techniques, and the valorization of tangible and intangible cultural heritage through both classic and modern technologies. These methods include conducting interviews, filming, data processing, and 3D scanning.
By participating in this program, students will acquire new competencies in heritage research and interpretation, as well as in the sustainable development of communities through a participatory approach
